About the city

Hyderabad is the fourth most populated city in India and has 425+ years of rich heritage. The city is also known as “The City of Pearls” and “Cyberabad” with a balanced composition of heritage and technology. The presence of large multinational technology companies such as Microsoft, Google, Oracle, IBM, Facebook, etc. and services companies such as TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, etc. has made Hyderabad a destination for techies. Some of the large IT users in India such as ICICI and SBI in the Banking sector and government organisations have a strong presence in Hyderabad. Hyderabad is the fifth largest urban economy in India, and is home to almost 10 million residents. Its more than 500 years old history is evidences in its heritage sites like Charminar, Falaknuma Palace, Salar Jung Museum and Golconda Fort.

About the venue (IIIT Hyderabad)

Located in Gachibowli, IIIT Hyderabad is one of the most prestigious private research universities in India.
